Sexual Harassment is often times defined as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. More than half of all American women have experienced sexual harassment in their lives, and an overwhelming amount has occurred at the hands of people who hold power over them. This creates a cycle, one that is hard to break for many victims because they fear the repercussions of reporting this crime.
At Meyer, Shaffer & Stepans, we know that sexual harassment can occur in all walks of life, and are passionate about breaking that cycle. It is our goal to empower victims of sexual harassment, and through our legal capabilities we strive to create the necessary changes that need to occur in institutions all across the U.S. while ensuring that our clients feel heard and understood.
